Our Story
Blushing Ivory is a woman-owned business that specializes in flawless soft glam makeup, as well as textured romantic hairstyles. The founders, Lacy and Courtney, have a knack for their attention to detail, and ensuring that each client feels like the best version of themselves once they leave their chair. From weddings, to photoshoots, to simply just wanting to get all dolled up, they have your back! With over 14 years of experience in the beauty industry, Blushing Ivory is confident that your vision will be brought to life.
Blushing Ivory was born after two overbooked freelance artists combined their solo businesses. Due to their much-appreciated success, they were unable to accommodate many of the inquires requesting their services due to high demand. Once Blushing Ivory was established, they became the perfect team to take on large wedding parties together! It’s Lacy and Courtney’s passion in life to make their Brides and clients feel beautiful on their most special days.

Lacy
My passion for the beauty industry began when I was just a little girl. I remember drawing eyeliner on my Barbies with permanent marker and cutting their hair with kitchen scissors. Little did I know that I was preparing myself for my dream job! I’ve happily upgraded from my permanent marker days to working with the best brands of makeup on the market, and the best clients ever!
With over 14 years of dedicated experience in the beauty industry, this career has taken me to places I could only dream of. Some highlights of my career include; Styling performers' hair at the Electric Forest music festival in between their sets, having the opportunity to do bridal makeup on the set of TLC’s Say Yes To The Dress, having our work featured in the New York Times after working with the beautiful Torrey DeVitto, and getting countless brides ready for their big day. My career has become more than a job to me, it’s my passion in life and a dream come true.
I love being a part of our bride's big day, and sharing their excitement in this new chapter of their lives. There’s nothing that brings me more gratification than bringing a bride‘s vision to life, and sharing unforgettable moments before they walk down the aisle.
I specialize in airbrush foundation and natural-looking, soft glam makeup applications. My goal is to enhance my client's natural features, and to make them feel like the best versions of themselves for their big day. Not only do I love the artistry of makeup, but I also adore styling hair as well. I look at styling hair as a sculpture and carefully place each strand to create the perfect style for my bride's face shape and overall look.
It’s an honor to be a part of our client's most special day. I appreciate our past and future clients for giving me the opportunity to do what I love every single day, and for allowing me to be a part of one of the biggest events of their lives. For as long as I can remember I have been obsessed with the bridal industry. I loved all the sparkle and excitement surrounding such a special day and I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I loved it so much that I actually went to school to become a Wedding Coordinator! I also had a love for doing hair & makeup and making women feel like their most beautiful selves, so I abandoned one dream to follow another. What I didn’t know is how perfectly they would compliment one another down the road. Fast forward 12 years and here I am combining my love of hair & makeup with my love of the bridal world and I couldn’t love what I do more!
I specialize in textured, romantic Updos and down styles with voluminous curls that will last all day long! My goal when creating each style is to perfectly complement each guest's features while also giving them a look that resembles their Pinterest inspiration picture. Not only do I love doing hair, but I am also passionate about makeup as well! I love creating natural, bridal makeup looks that allow your natural features to shine through.
This industry has provided so many amazing experiences for me and my career. I've gotten to work on several styled shoots that have been featured in Wedding Day Magazine and other blogs, I've been able to do hair and makeup backstage at fashion runway events, and I've gotten to appear on a local TV broadcast demonstrating hairstyling tips and tricks. It has been such a fun ride and I can't wait to see where it takes me next!
As a past bride myself, I experienced firsthand the joy of waking up on your wedding day and hanging out with your girls as your glam squad gets you picture-perfect. That day has given me such an appreciation for what I do every single weekend. I am honored to get to be a part of every one of our bride’s special mornings. I love getting to make women feel beautiful while we listen to spice girls radio and reminisce on her dating years.
Blushing Ivory is 100% my dream job and I can’t thank our past and future brides enough for letting me live out my dreams!
